The focus of this month’s E-zine is NINIS Website Taxonomy
Datasets and Interactive Content on the NINIS website are classified under ‘Themes’. There are 11 National Statistics Themes and 5 additional themes for Census 2011, Census 2001, Deprivation, Investing for Health and Neighbourhood Renewal. This Taxonomy overview has been produced to increase user knowledge in the range of datasets available on NINIS, and to assist users in locating datasets within each Theme.

NINIS Customer Survey 2014

Births, Deaths and Marriages
Additional statistics on births, deaths and marriages for the 11 new Districts (LGD2014) for 2008-2012 were published at 9.30am on 29 April 2014.
Updated datasets on NINIS include Births, Deaths, Deaths by Cause, Alcohol Related Deaths,
Deaths due to Obesity and Drug Related Deaths and Deaths due to Drug Misuse.
The Births and Fertility, Deaths and Marriages interactive maps were also updated with the additional statistics at LGD2014 level.
Other Data and Interactive Maps
The Census 2011 Local Characteristics Bulk Download files were released on 29 April 2014. The WinZip files are available to download under the Census 2011 theme, bulk download subtheme.
A number of datasets have been updated with latest year data including Standardised Cancer Incidence Rate and Health Card Registrations from Abroad.
The Cancer Incidence interactive map was updated with latest year data, and two new maps were added under the Health and Social Care theme: Breastfeeding on Discharge and Smoking During Pregnancy.
