Census 2011 Key Statistics for Settlements
Following Census 2011, the Review of the Statistical Classification and Delineation of Settlements report was published in March 2015. This report makes a recommendation about a new classification of settlement, and includes a proposed line on an urban-rural classification.

On 30 July 2015, Census 2011 Key Statistics for Settlements in Northern Ireland for Settlements with 500 or more usual residents have been published. This includes 45 Key Statistics tables for Settlements on a range of topics:

New and Updated Datasets
A number of new datasets have been added to NINIS including:
Culture and Heritage Expenditure,
Internet Use by Age and Council Area,
Deaths by Cause by Age 65+ years,
Deaths by Cause by Age 16-64 years and
Deaths by Cause by Age 1-15 years.
A number of datasets have been updated with latest year data including:
Smoking During Pregnancy,
Breastfeeding on Discharge,
Prescriptions for anti-depressant drugs,
Prescriptions for drugs to treat Diabetes and
Prescriptions for drugs to treat Obesity.
