Baby Names in Northern Ireland

The top 20 boys' and girls' names registered in Northern Ireland so far in 2013 have been published today. The most popular boy's name is Jack, with Grace topping the girls' list.

A Baby Names interactive map showing the most popular boys’ and girls’ names by LGD 2004-2013 (provisional) is available on NINIS, and further information including the most recent Baby Names publications can be found on the NISRA website.

New 11 Districts (LGD2014) Data

A number of datasets for the new 11 districts (LGD2014) will be added to NINIS on 30 January 2014.

The next Census 2011 release will include Key Statistics tables for the new 11 districts (LGD 2014) in Northern Ireland and a Quick Statistics table on Population Density. The release will be published at 9.30am on 30 January 2014, and will be available under the Census 2011 statistics theme. Current Census 2011 interactive maps will also be updated to include the data at the new geography.

A number of Vital Statistics datasets will also be published for the new 11 districts on the same day, including Births, Deaths, Deaths by Cause, Marriages and Divorces. Datasets will be available under the Population statistics theme.

Data and interactive maps

A number of datasets have been updated with latest year data including Local Authority Collected Municipal Waste Recycling, BMI Levels - Health Survey and Social Services Staff.

Under the Government theme, Local Government Electorate, Parliamentary Electorate and Published Electorate datasets have all been updated with 2013 data, with corresponding interactive maps added to the Government interactive content section.

NINIS Workshops
