Welcome to the New NINIS Website

NINIS are pleased to announce the launch of our new website. The new NINIS website offers a wide range of improvements and new features.

New NINIS Homepage

The new NINIS website can also be accessed by clicking on 'Neighbourhood stats - NINIS' on the NISRA website.

New and Improved Features

We have highlighted below a few of the key features which will help to make sure you get the most out of the new NINIS website:

  • Better accessibility to the sites main pages with the header bar always at the top of the screen and clearer and more consistent navigation.
  • Access an area profile report through the quick profile button by entering a postcode, street or area name.
  • Create your own charts, maps and interactive maps for exporting.
  • View the recently added, and most viewed, datasets and news headlines at a glance.

Census 2011 Results

Phase 2 of the first results from the Census 2011 will be published on NINIS at 9.30am on 19th September 2012 and will contain:

  • Usually resident census day population estimates for Northern Ireland at Local Government District (LGD), Health and Social Care Trust (HSCT) and Education and Library Board level (ELB), by single year of age and sex.
  • Estimates of the number of households and average household size by the geographic units outlined above.
  • Users will be able to download or view the statistics online, display the data in a map or chart or view the Census 2011 interactive map.

NINIS Website Workshops

The NINIS team will be holding training workshops for those interested in learning more about the features of the website. All workshops will be held in McAuley House.
The dates for the workshops are:

  • Tuesday 2nd October - 2PM
  • Tuesday 16th October - 10AM
  • Tuesday 23rd October - 2PM
  • Friday 26th October - 10AM
