The Census collects information every 10 years about the characteristics of people and households in Northern Ireland. It is used by central and local government, health authorities and many other organisations to plan and provide future services for us all.
The Census 2001 took place on 29 April 2001. A list of all standard output tables from the 2001 Census in Northern Ireland is available. Information obtained from the Census 2001 is available below.
